Vallejo: "We were compact and strong, which is the base to build on"
Manu Vallejo was back in the starting lineup for Valencia CF for the first time since February in the match against Sevilla, and he spoke after the game with VCF Media
"I think that we had a very complete game. We came here with clear ideas and did a very good job defensively. We had our chances, such as some of the counterattacks that we could have finished off better. We got to the end of the game still in with a chance, which is what we were looking to do. It was a good performance from the team: We were compact and strong, which is the base to build on," said Vallejo.
"We need to pick up points and win, but with the showing we gave of ourselves today we are closer to getting points than not. Overall, the feeling is good. In these final two games we have to give our all to end the season with a really good feeling."

"I felt good coming back into the starting lineup. It had been a while since I started a game. I think that we had a good game; we just missed out and we have to grow from there."
On the possible return of fans to Mestalla for Matchday 37, the striker commented that:
"I hope that the fans can come back to Mestalla, and that we can dedicate a win to them, because they are suffering with us. We are all going to do our best to win, and it would be even better at home."
